The Research division is Xyloid Technologies’ research and development arm. Our specialty is developing solutions that help get cutting-edge technology into niche government use cases that have not yet benefited from the cutting-edge.
Where our research is focused.
We concentrate on two fields, artificial intelligence and software engineering, and especially on the places where they meet.
AI Model Development and Interop
The bulk of our work surrounds how language models can be fine-tuned to fit niche use cases, and how models can be co-deployed to enrich output.
AI Evaluation & Reliability
Measuring what models actually do. Benchmarks, adversarial testing, and failure analysis that tell you when a system can be trusted and when it can’t.
Domain-driven Design
Too many organizations lack a common operating picture for their organization’s data and functions due to the complexity of their work. We are here to design solutions to handle that complexity.
Next-Gen Computation at the Edge
We’re always open to research involving problems facing the warfighter at the edge: anything from edge-AI to processing raw sensor data.

Our research is applied by design. Every question we pursue has a practical endpoint, whether that’s a capability in the Xyloid platform, a method our engineers use in the field, or a finding we present to you.
